More than 2,000,000 wildebeest, gazelles, zebras and antelopes migrate through the Serengeti each year, and Tanzania is home to a wonderful spectacle of wildlife. 

However, this migration is only the surface that Tanzania must provide for wildlife viewing: the “big five” and the endangered wild dogs, there are approximately 1,140 species of birds and 20 species of primates.
