A comprehensive 14-day expedition combining a wildlife safari through Serengeti and Ngorongoro with a challenging trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route. The adventure begins with arrival and preparation, then blends game drives with high-altitude trekking.

Destinations include Arusha, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Mount Kilimanjaro. This 14 Days / 13 Nights itinerary begins with arrival and a separate preparation day before the safari and mountain programme.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Airport pickup and transfer to your Arusha hotel. Check in, relax and recover from your journey.

Day 2

Pre-climb and Expedition Preparation

Meet the expedition team for a full trip briefing, mountain gear check, safety review and final equipment arrangements before the safari and Kilimanjaro programme.

Day 3

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Driving time: 6–7 hrs.

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Driving time: 3–4 hrs.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater Tour, Return to Arusha

Driving time: 3–4 hrs.

Day 6

Arusha to Forest Camp (Lemosho Route)

Driving time: 2–3 hrs.

Day 7

Forest Camp to Shira One Camp

Driving time: 7–8 hrs, 8.4 km.

Day 8

Shira One to Moir Hut

Driving time: 7–8 hrs, 10 km.

Day 9

Moir Hut to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Driving time: 6–7 hrs, 9.9 km.

Day 10

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Driving time: Time: 3–4 hrs, 5 km.

Day 11

Karanga to Barafu Camp

Driving time: 3–5 hrs, 3.5 km.

Day 12

Summit Day (Barafu to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Hut)

Driving time: 10–16 hrs, 5 km ascent + 12 km descent.

Day 13

Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate to Arusha

Driving time: 2–3 hrs.

Day 14

Departure

Driving time: 1 hr.
